 | China's Shenzhou spacecraft V: Hong Kong newspapers on Thursday Oct. 16 prominently feature China's successful space mission with pictures of Yang Liwei, the first Chinese astronaut to go to space, the Shenzhou 5 blastoff and headlines that read: 'Chinese successfully conquer Space', 'Chinese astronaut Yang Liwei traveled in space' and 'Chinese fly high'. Millions across the region woke up to the news that the Shenzhou 5 craft landed on the Inner Mongolian grasslands at dawn, about 21 hours after liftoff.
