U.S. Mad Cow Disease Crisis: Paul Murray, a butcher at Lobel's of New York, stacks up cuts of beef to be shipped from the butcher shop on Madison Avenue, December 26, 2003. Mark Lobel, a fifth generation butcher and co-owner of the shop, said his mail order business has not suffered in the face of the Mad Cow disease scare. 'We expect the consumers to be a little leery,' he said, adding it was 'business as always.' Lobel's opened in 1840 and has been on Madison Avenue for 50 years.
