Monday the restaurant was closed while the owner figured out the logistics of how to run it on wood and ice to re-open it on Tuesday. Burlington, a city of about 26,000 in southeast Iowa, has taken a hit from the rising Mississippi. The river, which was forecast to crest at about 25.6 feet early Wednesday, was at about 24 feet Monday.
